The action takes place at the Women’s Social and Political Union Exhibition & Bazaar, held at the Prince’s Skating Rink, Knightsbridge, London, in May 1909. The play tells the story of remarkable group of women who developed the methods of public protest as we know them today. It uses the actual words of historical characters, from their speeches, letters and memoirs, together with songs dance and invented dialogue.
